I was introduced to the Enneagram in 2017 and the more I learned about it, the more I wanted to know. I eventually landed on my type when I read the wounding message my type heard, “Your presence doesn’t matter.” I can to a full stop when I read this because someone had put into words what I had always felt but could never express. That’s when I realized that the Enneagram is different from most of the personality identifying systems out there.
My family members have identified their numbers and having this information gives me so much insight into how they view world. (I’m a nine married to a three, blessed with a two, a one, and a pair of sixes.) I feel like I have the tools to relate to them and love them better because of this understanding. Sometimes I can’t help but wonder, how would my parenting have been different with this knowledge if I had it sooner?
After a close friend suggested I consider becoming a coach, an opportunity to register for a class to become a trained and certified presented itself. What made this certification program most appealing to me is that it weaves the truth of the Gospel into its teaching, reminding us of who we are in Christ and the promises of Goad. True and lasting transformation cannot happen apart from the Holy Spirit. I am passionate about helping others learn about themselves and excited to learn with you on the journey we embark on together!

The Enneagram is a personality typing system that categorizes nine specific personality types. Unlike most personality typing systems, the Enneagram does not categorize by outward behaviors but by internal core motivations. While we have elements of all nine personality types, each of the nine numbers experience the world very different ways. Discovering your number helps you to understand yourself and others better while increasing your acceptance of and compassion for others enabling you to navigate the world in a new way.
